Obituary ....
Mrs. Wilhelmine Siemers died at 4:45 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martin Kerstner, in Gordonville, after suffering for a long time from various ailments incident to advanced age.
The body was brought to McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, but will be transferred to the family home in Gordonville at 9 a.m. Saturday. From there the body will be taken to Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville, where it will remain from 12 to 2 p.m., at which time the funeral will be held, with the pastor, Rev. Hugo Hoyer in charge. Interment will be the cemetery at Gordonville. Pallbearers will be O.C. Kiehne, E. W. Hink, H. F. Eggimann, Albert Niemann, J. W. Winkler and L. R. Sander.
Mrs. Anna Maria Wilhelmine Siemers, whose maiden name was Kuss, was born near Dutchtown June 17, 1859, on a farm where she grew to womanhood. On September 12, 1878, she was married to George Conrad Siemers, and the two lived on a farm until they retired and moved to Gordonville, where he died April 27, 1930. Since that time Mrs. Siemers made her home with her daughter, who is the nearest surviving relative. Surviving also is one brother, Henry W. Kuss of Cape Girardeau. |
