Obituary ....

Mrs. Frieda I. Niemann of Gordonville, died at Southeast Missouri Hospital Monday night where she had been a patient since December 17. She was 77 years old.

Mrs. Niemann, the former Miss Sandvoss, was born in Benton, on January 17, 1902, a daughter of Henry and Mathilda Klaproth Sandvoss. On January 1, 1930, she was married to Walter Niemann, who died August 6, 1938.

She had lived in the Gordonville community all of her life, and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville. She was confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Surviving are a daughter-in-law; two granddaughters; a brother, Henry R. Sandvoss, Jackson; and a sister, Mrs. Henry H. Niemann, Gordonville. She was preceded in death by a son, a granddaughter, one brother and a sister.

The body is at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, where friends may call after 5:30 p.m. today.

Thursday afternoon at 1:30, the body will be taken to Christ Lutheran Church for funeral service at 2, with the Rev. Roger Rohde, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
