Obituary ....
William R. "Scrap" McClard, 58, of Dexter passed away Thursday, December 1, 2005, at Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter.
He was born August 12, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, son of Jesse B. and Hilda M. Sachse McClard. He was raised in Jackson by his mother and maternal grandfather, Otto Sachse.
McClard was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam era, and honorably discharged March 1, 1972. He then worked as a surveyor in construction with Laborers Union Local 1104 in Cape Girardeau.
He was a member of Elks Lodge in Dexter, American Legion in Jackson, VFW, and a former member of Jackson Elks Lodge.
Loving survivors include his girlfriend of 14 years, Viola "Vi" Williams of Dexter; three daughters, Racquel "Rocky" Green and husband Chris of Jackson, Tammy McClard of Jackson, Misty Koenig and husband T.K. of Jackson; former wife, Patricia Koch of Jackson; three grandchildren, Macy Baker, Justin Green, and Tristen Koenig, all of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and a brother, Gary McClard.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday.
The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery at Gordonville with military honors to be conducted.
