Obituary ....
Martin G. Kerstner, 92 years old, of Gordonville died this morning in a Cape Girardeau nursing home.
Mr. Kerstner was born February 5, 1872, in Gordonville. He was the son of Klaus and Elizabeth Hirsch Kerstner.
He operated a store for a number of years and also was custodian at the Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville.
Mr. Kerstner was married to Miss Louise Seimers, who survives. Other survivors are a sister, Miss Lenore Kerstner, Jackson, and six nieces and nephews.
The body is at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
At 1 Saturday afternoon, the body will be taken to the Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville for services at 2. The rites will be conducted by the Rev. Eldor Bruss, and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday afternoon.

Pallbearers for the funeral of Martin G. Kerstner were Norman Eggimann, L. R. Sander, A. C. Dittlinger, Edgar Winkler, Walter Hanschen, and William Kerstner.
Services were held this afternoon at the Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville by the Rev. Eldor Bruss.
Burial was in the church cemetery with McCombs Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Kerstner died Wednesday. |
