Mrs. Wm. Luhring
Mrs. Martha C. Luhring, 79 years old, died at 3:10 Friday afternoon at a local nursing home where she had been a patient 11 days. With her husband, William Luhring, she had resided with a daughter, Mrs. Ed Blumenberg at 832 North Kingshighway prior to entering the nursing home.
Born August 4, 1881, at Dutchtown, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Sander. She married to Mr. Luhring on November 17, 1907, at the Zion Lutheran Church near Gordonville. They moved to Cape Girardeau from Gordonville five years ago. Mrs. Luhring was a member Christ Lutheran Church of Gordonville.
She is survived by her husband and the daughter, Mrs. Blumenberg, Three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Services will be conducted Monday at the Christ Lutheran Church at Gordonville by the pastor, the Rev. Paul Ludwig. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at the Ford and Sons Funeral Home until noon Monday.
Pallbearers are to be Albert Niemann, Ed Winkler, Bill Winkler, Fred Grossheider, Norman Sander and Homer Crader. |
