Obituary ....

Wm. Luhring

William Luhring, 79 years old, 832 North Kingshighway, died Friday night at 9:45 at a hospital where he had been admitted shortly before from a nursing home where he had been several weeks.

Final rites will be conducted Sunday at Christ Lutheran Church of Gordonville, of which he had been a life long member, by the pastor, the Rev. Paul Ludwig. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will be removed to the church at noon Sunday from the Ford and Sons Funeral Home.

He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Ed Blumenberg, 832 North Kingshighway, with whom he had made his home for five years. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Born on June 22, 1881 at Madison, Ind., he and Martha C. Sander were married November 17, 1907, at Gordonville and she passed away on January 20, 1961. His family moved to Gordonville from Indiana when he was 11 yars old and he had resided there until five years ago. He was employed at the roller mill at Gordonville for 47 years going to work there when he was 18. He was an engineer.

Pallbearers are to be William Winkler, Albert Niemann, Norman Sander, Fred Grossheider, Henry Sailer and Norman Hager.
