Obituary ....
Mrs. Alvina Luehring
Mrs. Alvina R. Luehring, 88 years old, 208 North Boulevard, died early this morning at her home following a lingering illness.
She was born February 25, 1879, near Gordonville. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Volkerding. She was married to John Luehring on August 19, 1903 at Gordonville. He died in March 1954.
Mrs. Luehring moved to Cape Girardeau in 1925 from Gordonville. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid of the church at Gordonville.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Arnold Klages, 208 North Boulevard.
The body is at the Ford and Sons Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 tonight.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 at Christ Lutheran Church. The pastor, the Rev. Robert Olson, will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers for the funeral Thursday of Mrs. Alvina Luehring will be Elmer Luehring, Ed Blumenberg, Joe Vernon, Richard and Theodore Volkerding.
Services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 at the Christ Lutheran Church at Gordonville. The pastor, the Rev. Robert Olson, will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Ford and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
