Obituary ....

NIEMANNS LOSE ANOTHER CHILD
FAMILY OF WILLIAM NIEMANN OF GORDONVILLE IS HARD HIT BY INFLUENZA ATTACK.

Again has the grim reaper visited the home of William Niemann. A farmer living near Gordonville, and claimed another member of the family. Alvin Niemann, the oldest child dying Tuesday afternoon of pneumonia, which followed an attack of influenza.

Mr. Niemann is also very sick with the same disease at present, as is also a son, Henry, 14. An alarm is being felt for the recovery of both.

About two weeks ago Martin Niemann, another child, succumbed to the disease and at that time every member was sick with influenza, several of them developing pneumonia.

Alvin Niemann was 17 years old and was the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Niemann. He had been in poor health most of his life and was not strong enough to throw off the pneumonia attack when it developed.

The funeral was held this afternoon, a service being said at the Gordonville Lutheran church at 1 o'clock by Rev. W. C. Krueger. Burial took place in the Gordonville cemetery.
