Obituary ....
Service for Mrs. Pearl Skelton will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call after 6:30 p.m. today McCombs Funeral Home at Jackson.
Skelton, 89 years old, of Gordonville, died at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Wednesday, January 20, 1988
She was born April 22, 1898, at Shawneetown, Ill., daughter of John Brunner and Dolly Ozwe Brunner.
She married Joe Skelton on April 28, 1920, in New Madrid. He preceded her in death February 16, 1962.
Survivors include three sons and daughter-in-laws, Harold and Dorothy Skelton of Gordonville, Leo and Juanita Skelton of Caruthersville, and Charles and Carrie Skelton of Gordonville; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Dake of Jackson, and Mrs. Joe (Pauline) Naylor of San Antonio, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
Mrs. Skelton lived in Gordonville all her life, and was a lifelong member of the Christ Lutheran Church. |
