Obituary ....

Lawrence J. Maag of Perryville Route 6, was pronounced dead on arrival at Perry County Memorial Hospital Tuesday morning at 8:30 following an apparent heart attack.

Mr. Maag, 60 years old, was born November 3, 1916, in Cape County, a son of Mr. and Mrs. August Maag. He worked as a farmer in the Cape County area before moving to Perry County a few years ago.

Mr. Maag was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown.

Surviving: Brother, William Maag, Cape Girardeau; sisters, Mrs. Louis Brugger, Jackson, and Mrs. Willie Borgfield and Mrs. Harold Bohnert, both of Perryville.

The body is at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson where friends may call. A prayer service will be held tonight at 8 o'clock.

Service will be conducted at 2 Thursday afternoon by the Rev. Darel Bergelin, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery at Gordonville.

Pallbearers will be Harlan Hager, Larry Bock, Dorris Suedekum, Wilbert and Clarence Peetz, and Jerry Lorberg.
