Obituary ....
Mary Jo Gross, 43, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at her home in Gordonville.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, Mo., and Friday, April 26, after 12:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Gary Hoffstetter officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mary Jo was born August 22, 1958, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Gilbert N. and Lorene M. Peetz Gross.
She graduated from Jackson High School in 1976, and was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church where she previously worked as a part-time secretary. She had also worked at Sander Hardware in Jackson, at the former Jackson Exchange Bank and the former Boatmen's Bank. She was currently deputy tax collector of Cape Girardeau County.
Loving survivors include her mother; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry and Wayne Kasten of Perryville, Mo., Tammy and Richard Kasten of Uniontown, Mo.; two nephews, Mark Kasten and Charles Kasten; and two nieces, Katherine "Katie" Kasten and Rebekah Kasten.
She was preceded in death by her father; an aunt, Dorothy Peetz; and her grandparents.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Christ Lutheran Building Fund or Southeast Hospice. |
