Obituary ....
PARALYSIS FATAL TO MRS. KATIE SAILER
Mrs. Katie Sailer, 66 years old, died at 9 o'clock Monday night at the home of her son, Henry Sailer at Gordonville, after having been helpless for several months from the effects of a paralytic stroke suffered September 11, 1929. Until November 19, 1929, she was with her daughter, Mrs. Jack Grafton, at Des Plaines, Ill., but since that time had been with her son in Gordonville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the family home, and then to Christ Lutheran church, where the Rev. Hugo Hoyer will conduct the services. Interment will be in the cemetery near the church. She had been a charter member of that church, and remained a faithful member to the end, and was also active in the Ladies' Aid society.
Mrs. Sailer was born near Old Appleton, and her maiden name was Gross. On December 2, 1888, she was married to Henry E. Sailer, who died 22 years ago. She is survived by one son, Henry M. Sailer of Gordonville, one daughter, Mrs. Jack Grafton of Des Plaines, Ill., six grandchildren and three brothers, Henry Gross of Kennett, Cris Gross of Gordonville, and Gottfried Gross of Cape Girardeau. |
