Obituary ....
WM. BLOSS, 72, DIES AT ALTENBURG; WAS NATIVE OF COUNTY
Wm. Bloss, 72 years old, died at
?:30 a. m. today at the home of
his step-daughter, Mrs. Rudolph
?euve, near Altenberg. About
? years ago he was stricken with
paralysis and never recovered
?ly. Another attack of that
?nd. coupled with the infirmities
? advanced age, proved fatal.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the Christ Lutheran church at Gordonville, and interment will be in the cemetery near by.
John Frederick William Bloss was born three miles south of Jackson on the farm now owned by Wm. Nagel. His parents immigrated from Germany. He followed farming as profession until ill health compelled him to retire.
On December 23, 1909, he was married to Anna Wilhelmine Kuntze-Leine, who died about five years ago. Shortly after her death, he took up his abode with his stepdaughter, about four years ago. There are no children surviving, but two sisters, Mrs. August Lange of near Jackson and Mrs. Minnie Nagel of Jackson survive.
