Obituary ....

Mrs. Anna Marie Bodenstein, 64 years old, died suddenly at her home in Gordonville Tuesday evening. She had been complaining of not feeling well, and her son, Louis Bodenstein, of Jackson, who had gone go here home Tuesday morning took her to a physician in Jackson, where she was given medical attention. she remained for dinner at the home of her son and the two motored back to Gordonville, the son returning to his home in Jackson.

Miss Cora Bodenstein, who made her home with her mother, returned home from work at 5:30 o'clock and found the mother dead on the floor. Apparently Mrs. Bodenstein had begun preparation for supper, as there was a fire in the cook stove and vessels with food placed thereon.

Mrs. Bodenstein, whose maiden name was Kerster, was born near Friedheim, and lived in this county all her life. After her marriage to Henry Bodenstein, January 23, 1887, the family lived near Gordonville, until the death of her husband which occurred on June 7, 1932. Surviving her are five sons, Albert Bodenstein, Walter Bodenstein, Fred Bodenstein, and Henry Bodenstein of Gordonville, Louis Bodenstein of Jackson, and five daughters, Mrs. Albert Kamp of Kinder Township, Mrs. Albert Rose and Mrs. Albert Fluegge and Miss Cora Bodenstein of Gordonville, and Mrs. Alvin Huter at Nampa, Idaho;; 18 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Sander of Gordonville and Mrs. Minnie Maintz of Kurreville, and many other more distant relatives.

Funeral services will be held at the Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in the cemetery there. Rev. Hugo Hoyer will conduct the service.
