Obituary ....
Mrs. Josephine Schwab Siemers, 91 years old, a longtime Gordonville resident, died early this morning at the Adams Rest Home in Scott City where she had been a patient one day.
Mrs. Siemers was born May 23, 1882, at Dutchtown. As a child she attended the Evangelical Parochial School of Gordonville.
On September 4, 1904, the former Miss Schwab married Joseph W. Siemers. He preceded her in death January 12, 1957.
For many years, Mr. and Mrs. Siemers farmed in the Gordonville community, and for the past four years she had resided with a daughter and son-in-law here.
A member of Gordonville Christ Lutheran Church, Mrs. Siemers was also an honorary member of the Ladies Aid of the church.
Surviving: daughter, Mrs. Paul G. Borchelt, Gordonville; sister, Mrs. Clara Feuerhahn, Toledo, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Henry Schwab, Sikeston, and Mrs. Joe Schwab, Cape Girardeau; granddaughter, Mrs. Jerry Neal, Gordonville, and six great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Brinkopf-Howell Funeral Home at Cape Girardeau, where friends may call after 11 Sunday morning.
A prayer service, conducted by the Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd, will be held at 9 Sunday night at the funeral home.
At noon Monday, the body will be taken to Christ Lutheran Church, where service will be held at 2 that afternoon. Mr. Lloyd, church pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Service was held Monday at Christ Lutheran Church here for Mrs. Josephine Schwab Siemers. The Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd, church pastor, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Norman Hager, Robert Gross, Albert Keller and Robert, Dwight and Norman Schwab.
Mrs. Siemers, a longtime resident of Gordonville, died early Saturday morning. She was 91 years old. |
