Obituary ....
Henry H. Niemann, Gordonville Route 3, a lifelong farmer in the Gordonville area, died in Jackson Manor here at 8 a.m. today. He had been a resident there for one week, and prior to that had been hospitalized for five weeks.
Mr. Niemann, 80 years old, was born March 14, 1903, at Gordonville, a son of William and Bertha Birk Niemann. On November 16, 1924, in Gordonville, he was married to Miss Clara Sandvoss, who survives. The couple were married 58 years.
Mr. Niemann was a lifetime member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville, and was a past member of the church's board of elders.
Surviving besides his wife, are one son; a daughter; one brother, William Niemann, Jackson; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Macke, Jackson Route 2; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and one grandson.
The body is at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson where friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday.
Friday at 1:30 p.m., the body will be taken to Christ Lutheran Church for funeral service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Norman Kierking, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery. |
