Obituary ....

Paul Phillip Gross, 82, of Gordonville died Tuesday, August 29, 2000, at his home.

He was born August 11, 1918, at Allenville, MO., son of William and Emma Hager Gross. He and Hazel Davis were married September 6, 1958, in Cape Girardeau.

Gross was employed 26 years at Marquette Cement, retiring in 1984. In his younger years he worked the family farm near Allenville, He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and its Men's Club.

Survivors include his wife: a son, William Gross of Rockford, Ill.; a daughter, Darlene Castelli of Imperial, Mo.; a brother, Robert Gross of Jackson, Mo.; a sister, Charlotte Wessel of Chaffee, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Disen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
