Obituary ....
MRS. RENNE, 64, OF GORDONVILLE DIES IN CAPE
Mrs. Elizabeth Renne, 64 years old, wife of W. C. F. Renne of Gordonville, died from diabetes Thursday night at a Cape Girardeau hospital. She had been failing in health for sometime.
Mrs. Renne, who has been a resident of Gordonville and community for 35 years, was widely known throughout the county. She has been a member and active worker in the Lutheran church at Gordonville since her residence in the community. She was born near Friedheim in 1863, and lived on a farm there until her marriage, she and her husband then moving to Gordonville.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Renne is survived by three sons: Joseph, Walter and Martin; a daughter, Edna; and a grandchild, all of whom live in and near Gordonville. She also leaves one brother, Joseph Kester of Friedheim, and three sisters: Mrs. W. G. Sanders and Mrs. Henry Bodenstein of Gordonville, and Mrs. Fred Mantz of Kurreville.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the home of her sister, Mrs. W. G. Sanders, to the Lutheran church of Gordonville. Rev. Hugo Hoyer, pastor, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Lutheran church cemetery. |
