Obituary ....

GORDONVILLE MAN SUCCUMBS IN CAPE


Henry Bodenstein, 70 years old, farmer of near Gordonville, died at 11 a. m. today at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was brought to the hospital Monday and underwent an operation for appendicitis, but had also developed a series of other complications. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

Mr. Bodenstein was born and reared near Gordonville, residing on a farm all of his life. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church near Gordonville.

Surviving, besides his widow, are nine children, five sons and four daughters. The sons are Albert Bodenstein of Gordonville, Louis Bodenstein of Jackson and Henry Jr., Fred and Walter Bodenstein of near Gordonville. The daughters are Mrs. Albert Kamp, Mrs. Albert Rose and Mrs. Alvin Fluegge of near Gordonville, and Mrs. Alvin Huter of Nampa, Idaho, Eighteen grandchildren also survive.
