Obituary ....

Retired Shoe Employee Louis W. Kaiser Dies

Louis William Kaiser, 87 years old, of St. Louis and formerly of Gordonville, a retired shoe employee of the shoe factory here and at St. Louis, died Saturday night at St. Louis.

Services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 at the Ford & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. O. H. Pooker of Trinity Lutheran Church, of which he was a member. Interment will be in the Christ Lutheran Church at Gordonville.

Surviving relatives are three sons, Oscar C. Kaiser of Cape, Walter H. Kaiser of Detroit, Mich. and Harold M. Kaiser of Granite City, Ill., two daughters, Mrs. E. C. Doherty of Point Pleasant, N. J. and Mrs. William Lange of St. Louis; a brother, Ed Kaiser of Jackson; a half-brother, Andy Crader of Lutesville and 13 grandchildren. A son and a daughter preceded him in death.

Born May 16, 1873, at Old Appleton, he was married to Wilhelmina Klaus on April 1 1895 at Friedham and she died November 30, 1953. Mr Kaiser started his work at the shoe factory here and later went to St. Louis. He was in St. Louis to 1936 when he moved back to Gordonville and returned to St. Louis in 1953, where he resided since.

Pallbearers are Albert Gross, Joe Volkerding, Bill Niemann, Fred Grossheider, Ernest Sebastian and Joe Lynn Meyer.
